Geographical Area Covered

Each CFR group responds to incidents in a geographical area agreed with East Midlands Ambulance Service. These are set-up to ensure the best possible coverage to local communities. Our group was formed in response to the need to serve the residents of a large patch, reaching from Oxton in the North to Keyworth in the South, and from West Bridgford in the West to the edge of Bingham in the East.

Our role is to save lives and so wherever we are the closest resource we will support the ambulance service in answering a call for help. That said, the vast majority of our calls are to incidents in the towns and villages in our area. It is therefore our families, friends, neighbours and colleagues who benefit from the care we provide.

Our responders are providing cover in their free time and we try hard to ensure cover across our patch and different times of day. As a growing group we an increasing number of CFR’s in locations across the area including Arnold, Bingham, Calverton, Carlton, Cotgrave, Gedling, Keyworth, Radcliffe-on-Trent and West Bridgford.
